TOEFL is an English language proficiency test that is similar to the IELTS. However, in the UK, Canada and Australia, the IELTS is the more requested and accepted test of English language proficiency. The TOEFL is the test of choice when going to the USA.
The TOEFL is an Internet-Based Test or IBT. It is scored on a total of 120 points and the more proficient you are with the English language, the higher your score will be on the test.

The test has four basic sections:

Listening
Each section is scored out of 30 points.
